Please include a clear photo of one of the following documents: vehicle or equipment registration, title, bill of sale, or equivalent proof of ownership. Under Canadian provincial scrap metal regulations — such as Ontario’s Safe Streets Act, 1999 and related municipal by-laws — scrap metal buyers are required to verify proof of lawful ownership before purchasing certain equipment or materials. This process helps prevent theft, ensures compliance with anti–metal theft laws, and confirms a lawful transfer of property. This requirement is mandatory to receive a quote. For more information, refer to the Ontario Safe Streets Act, 1999 and applicable local scrap metal dealer licensing by-laws.
